Newcastle is a great place for music events, and this winter it doesn't stop. There are plenty of music events happening in and around the city. With the Metro Radio Arena being one of the biggest venues within Newcastle. And with Stephenson Quarter being only a short walk from the arena, it is a great place to park. Here we have created a list of some of the events which are happening this winter (2017/2018), with a brief introduction to the artists and events.
Friday 1st December 2017 – Queen & Adam Lambert
This tour will mark the band’s first full tour in almost 3 years. With their last full tour in the UK being in January 2015. Their show will include specially designed state of the art production and will include some acknowledgement of their 40th anniversary of their biggest selling studio album – News of the world (1977). Which included the famous songs; we will rock you and we are the champions. With special guest Adam Lambert, this show is definitely not to be missed.
Wednesday 6th December 2017 – UB40
If you are into your reggae, then this is the music concert for you. Birmingham’s world famous reggae stars have announced an 8-day tour around the UK. Fans will be hearing some of their most famous songs including, food for thought, one in ten, Kingston town and many more.
January 2018 – Strictly come dancing live tour
If you don’t want it to stop and you would like to see it for yourself. Then this is the perfect opportunity. You will be able to see the incredible dancing for your very own eyes. The tour will include reigning champion Ore Oduba, but this time as the tour host!
27th – 28th January 2018 - The North East Wedding Fair 2018
Find your dream wedding decorations, dress, cake, venues and everything you need to make your wedding the best it can possibly be. With over 100 of the regions finest suppliers showcasing their service. You will be able to try before you buy, book and hire anything you see in preparation for your big day. Not only does it showcase wedding experts, but also a prosecco bar, catwalk shoes and cake galleries.
Thursday 15th February 2018 – Unibet premier league darts
The world’s top darts players return to Newcastle to compete their 16 week season. The night will include players such as World champion Michael Van Gerwen and Peter Snakebite Wright. There is a family area, with under 18’s recommended to book in this area.
